10 months and Adventures in Sewing

Liam is 10 months old today, and getting cuter by the minute! He just started crawling last week, he goes slow and steady like a little turtle, but at least he's on the move now! I forgot all the stuff they get into when they are mobile and have had to find a new home for a few things! Also I decided to make an outfit for Liam to wear on his first birthday, I found some on etsy.com and thought "I can make this myself". While I was looking up patterns I found a link to rookiemoms.com and found a really easy way to sew up some cute pants from old tshirts or sweaters. So I pulled out my sewing machine and whipped out 2 pairs in no time! Here is Liams's 10 month old photo modeling his new pair of pants! :)

So it only took me about 8 months, but Liams room is finally done! I painted the whole room and did the mural behind his crib-love the little nest of my four baby birds! I made the little polka dot valance and because I couldn't find the perfect shade of blue for the curtain panels I just used a queen sheet set for them, it was really easy-I just cut them in half and hemmed up the sides and voila! The cheapest set of curtains I've ever bought! His room feels very cozy and sweet, now if he could just stay a baby long enough to enjoy it!

Rory's 5th Birthday

I am way behind in putting up pictures! We celebrated Rory's birthday a few weeks ago now, we went to Gatti Town and had lunch and then they played some games, then we came home for cake and presents-fun was had by all!

New Year's Eve

I'm trying to catch up with all our photos. New years eve night we hung out at home and had some yummy fondue! The boys had some Izze soda and Brandon and I broke out the bubbly-we had a great night stuffing our faces!

Ryley

Just wanted to put a little shout out for Ryley-this past week at school he broke the school record for the pacer test in gym, he did 70 laps in the pacer test and the last record was 69, he decided to quit as soon as he knew he broke it, but he was very excited for his accomplishment! Also this weekend he had a soccer tournament-they played 5 games in 2 days. His team came out on top and won the whole thing! The last game was a tough game, they even had to postpone for about 15 minutes because it was pouring down rain and it started lightening but they all played great and scored the winning goal with 2 minutes left in the game. So now they will represent Frisco in the Tournament of Champions with teams coming from all over Texas-we are very proud of him!

I'm finally getting my pictures up for Halloween, mom came for a visit right after and I just didn't have enough time to get them posted, we had a great time with Brian and Callie and of course baby Hunter too!
